Abby Nurock’s DJ career began in 2002 with her cherished Technics SL/1210 turntables, laying the foundation for a lifelong love of analogue sound. Growing up in a family of musicians, her deep appreciation for music spans genres including early Chicago and Detroit house, 80s electronica, jazz, disco, and classical.

Known for her versatility, Abby keeps dance floors alive with carefully curated sets that move seamlessly across house, disco, electronic, acid, and techno. Her skill as a DJ has earned her devoted followers, prominent club residencies, and international festival appearances. She has performed at events such as Mixmag Lab Sessions, Fabric, Secret Garden Party (UK), Zurich Music Week, Ultra Resistance, and Lighthouse Festival.

Abby has shared stages with global artists including Bonobo, Monolink, Black Coffee, Adam Beyer, Joris Voorn, and Axel Boman. Her performances are marked by authenticity, energy, and a rare ability to connect with audiences through music.

Beyond performing, Abby co-directs SAMP Records (South African Music Press), focusing on small-batch vinyl pressing, licensing, and distribution. Her #StrictlyVinyl philosophy highlights her dedication to vinyl culture and her mission to elevate South African music on the global stage.
