The Morning After is a high-energy South African party-function band, founded in 2008, that focuses on weddings, corporate functions, festivals and events—offering live music to get every guest moving.
Formed by lifelong friends Dirk, Gerhard, and Shannon, The Morning After (TMA) brings over two decades of musical chemistry to every event. Based in Gauteng, this dynamic trio officially became a band in 2008, though their creative journey together dates back to the late ’90s.
Since then, they’ve built a stellar reputation, performing more than 150 shows a year — from weddings and birthday parties to high-profile corporate events. Their client list spans blue-chip South African companies and international organizations, underscoring their polished professionalism and broad appeal.
