Hector Motivator started the first on-campus black radio station while studying for a Public Administration diploma at the Tshwane University of Technology in 1993 (TUT), then known as Technicon Northern.

He was the undisputed MC for local beauty contests in his village as he was growing up. This continued into tertiary as he became a famous campus radio personality where he was MC for almost every occasion on the campus.

He fine tuned his hosting abilities when he became a popular Radio Bop radio DJ where his show, “Midday Madness” was the highest rated on the station. He has worked on Kaya FM, Capricorn FM & North West FM. He is currently ran owner-presenter on the Radio BOP online.

He now offers this service professionally and has been MC at prestigious government and corporate events. Hector Motivator was the resident MC at the Ekurhuleni Comes Alive Jazz Concerts which used to be held monthly at the Birchwood Executive Hotel & OR Tambo Conference Centre. This is where for 17 years he has hosted the likes of Judith Sephuma, Oliver Mtukudzi, Ntando, Sibongile Khumalo, Tsepo Tshola, Amanda Black amongst many others.
